How to use the Air Doctor app:

  1. After purchasing your policy, you’ll receive an email with a link to register with Air Doctor. This is separate from your Policy Confirmation email, so be sure to check your spam or junk folders if you don’t see it in your inbox.
  2. Download the Air Doctor app from your app store and register your details before your trip so you can book and manage your appointments easily when you’re away. Or if you’d prefer, use the Air Doctor WebApp.

Haven’t received your Air Doctor registration email?

No problem - you can register for Air Doctor by following these simple steps:

  1. Download the Air Doctor app from the App Store or Google Play. Just search for “Air Doctor” and look for the relevant icon. Alternatively, you can access the service via the Air Doctor WebApp.
  2. Open the app and choose “Continue with email” then enter your email address.
  3. Fill in your name, create a password and agree to the Terms & Conditions.
  4. Select Switched On Insurance (Ireland) from the list of coverage providers.
  5. Enter your policy number and date of birth.
  6. Click “Add coverage” – and you’re ready to go!

The Switched On policy wording is applicable to this service. Please refer to the policy wording for full terms and conditions. You will not be required to pay an excess for this service.

Any data collected by Air Doctor will be used for the sole purpose of providing medical assistance. We will not use it for any other means, including marketing.

If it appears that you require treatment over a longer period of time then Air Doctor will put you in touch with Switched On’s emergency assistance provider.

†While there will be no fee for using the Air Doctor service, you may need to pay for and claim later for any prescribed medication the treating Dr writes you a prescription for. If further treatment is required your policy excess may apply on any subsequent claims.

The service is only available for trips outside of Ireland that are covered under your policy.
